I am a native of Saint Petersburg, Russia, an artist, designer, architect and art expert. My name is Maria Jarva-Zhuravleva. My father was a renown artist D.V. Zhuravlev, People's Artist Of Russia. Dad started off in the 1950’s , I used to watch him work since my early childhood and painting remained my passion ever since . I haven't gone through a formal school of painting, hoping he passed along some of his genes. Unlike my Dad though, whose forte was socialist realism , I am more into abstract and classical genre.
All in all I have been involved in creative art for many years and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2007. Participated in various art exhibitions.
My other passions include fashion as well as interior design and architecture in which I received Degrees and which I currently teach in academic institutions.
