I have been retired from teaching for 19 years. While teaching in Public Schools for 32 years I loved every moment of being with my students. Teaching was never a job to me it was a calling. I began painting in 1989 while going through surgery and chemotherapy for breast cancer. It was my way of staying in touch with life and my spirituality and my soul. Since that time, I have often turned to painting as a pathway to sanity when the world seemed nuts. For some odd reason throughout the past four years creating and painting have literally been my sanity. I am so grateful for this gift and even more grateful that so many of you have encouraged me to pursue this passion not only for my satisfaction but to share my work with others.
