I never chose art; it picked me. I first just reproduced the masters’ drawings from library books. (That was long before the internet.) I started this journey with classes at the Dundas Valley School of Art. Learning is endless so I presently meet with a group of water-colourists.
Exhibiting first started at the Art Gallery in Hamilton, then with the Artist Workshop of Norfolk County in Simcoe and now locally at the Art & Heirloom Shoppe in Chatham.
What motivates me to paint? It must have purpose, give meaning to life and evoke others to question. It starts with an image, thought or a feeling that is worked out through a medium onto a ground. The soul takes the piece to a creative zone but what surfaces moves both the artist and viewer.
