Christie is a poet, philosopher, and visual artist from Southeast Connecticut. She has worked as a documentarian in audio, video, and writing, and is obsessed with light and shadow and juicy shapes and colors. Recently, she started learning digital painting techniques in Adobe Fresco and Procreate, and is having a great time experimenting with those mediums. She is also a beginner figure model, and loves being the one who is depicted, in addition to painting and drawing bodies herself.
In her work she attempts to cultivate a sense of wonder, and interrogate an uneasiness. She grew up in New England, but dreams of escaping to somewhere new-er. Christie attended University undergrad as Philosophy & Religion major, with a minor in creative writing. Her current collaborative writing project is The Poet Orchard (www.PoetOrchard.com), which she runs with her friend Mike. She loves moss, rainbow sprinkles, social justice, and sex positivity, and is interested in questions more than answers.
