I was born in a small market town called Wolsingham in Weardale, County Durham where I spent my early childhood.
The wonderful memories I have of carefree days paddling in the nearby river (so pretty!) and watching the world go by are still so vivid – it’s like I was there yesterday!
I didn’t realise at the time how much my fascination for nature and wildlife would shape my life as a person and an artist.
Taking my fond memories with me, I moved to Nottingham where I spent the rest of my childhood days. Through my imagination and sketches, I found a way of escaping all the hustle and bustle of the city so I could tread the path of nature once again.
It wasn’t until recent years that I truly found that my artwork is not just brush strokes on a piece of paper, it is who I am and what I share with you.
It is only within the last few years that I have discovered the joy of painting with various mediums including; oil, acrylic and pastel. I also like to experiment with different materials to create texture within my artwork. I love to paint many different subjects in a contemporary style.
