Michele always had a passion for art. Her creative talents were noticed early in kindergarten by her teachers, family, and friends. Michele spent many hours as a child drawing, painting, and creating. Her natural ability to produce beautifully rendered drawings and paintings caught the attention of many instructors and peers who encouraged her to continue developing her talents.
Michele’s formal art education began during ninth grade where she participated by invitation in the intensive summer art program at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design. After passing the California High School Proficiency Exam and receiving the equivalent of a high school diploma, Michele enrolled as an art major at Moorpark Jr. College, the summer just before her sixteenth birthday. She received an Associate of Arts degree at the age of eighteen. She completed some college work toward a bachelors in art before marrying and starting a family.
Michele loves to use a wide variety of mediums including: pencil, pen & ink, watercolor, acrylic, photography, and sculpture, and always looks forward to experimenting with new materials. She also enjoys the opportunity to help others discover their own creative abilities. She has taught beginning drawing and owned a plaster and ceramic painting studio.
