While camping in the mountains of North Carolina, we encountered three radio collared hunting dogs. They were clearly starving and very thin. After feeding them, they stayed around and I was able to photograph this poor soul. The good news is I was able to contact a local animal volunteer group and they were able to contact the owner who picked them up a few days later.
