Drawing, for me, is the honesty of the art, meditation of life, it's almost everything. It is the painter's identity, his style, his conviction. Drawing is the only thing I've found in which I can lose myself completely. I love it. It started as something that relaxed me, but now it's a struggle because I'm pushing myself. The day-to-day sketching is fraught. When I see a white piece of paper, I feel I've got to draw. And drawing, for me, is the beginning of everything. I loved painting and drawing for many reasons. One of them was that all it really required was me, a pencil, a pad and a vision. It was something I was passionate about, and still am. To sum up my view of art and drawing is that a drawing is simply a line going for a walk!
