Laszlo Kubinyi has been an illustrator for over forty years. His love for natural subjects was developed in Gloucester Massachusetts where he grew up. He is recognized for the following:
Over forty children's and adult books, album covers, editorial/magazines, maps, and medical illustration.
Commissions and assignments include magazines: Time, Life, National Geographic, Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker, Scientific American, Smithsonian and many more.
Books: Naturalist and scientist authors include Loren Eisley, A.L. Karras, Roger Swan, Susan Grant, and Alan P. Lightman. Laszlo has illustrated many children's books including The American Girl series for Pleasant Company and for prominent authors such as Lloyd Alexander, J Patrick Lewis, and Kelley Trumble. Laszlo has also illustrated for Rabbit Ears Productions creating dissolve animation with Meg Ryan and Amy Grant as narrators.
Maps: PBS New York, Babson College, Lawrenceville School, Groton School campuses, and state historical projects for Missouri and Oregon. Laszlo's maps have appeared in countless newspapers and magazines.

The artist's choice for technique has been pen and ink combined with watercolor.
Laszlo attended School of Visual Arts, The Art Student's League in New York City, The Boston Museum School, Boston, MA, and The Esmeralda School in Mexico City.
Laszlo lives in Teaneck, New Jersey where he has a studio in his home. He lives with his wife. He has three grown daughters.
