Kristal "Kristy" Melody Hoeh, was born in Sandy, Utah and moved to Palm Harbor, Florida when she was 14 years old. Moving from tropical to desert areas has become a pattern throughout her life as she has also lived in Kaneohe, Hawaii and currently near Phoenix, Arizona since 2005.

She earned a BA in Art Education and French from Brigham Young University in 2003. While doing an internship in French-speaking region of Belgium, she visited art museums across Western Europe including Rome, Paris, and London.

She has 13 years teaching experience in both K-12 and adult level. Currently she teaches Art History and 2D Design online for Primavera Online High School along with Watercolor and Charcoal classes for Community Education at Central Arizona College.

She currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and 2 children.
