Kenneth R. Williams- 4U2Cwww.ArtPal.com/kenwilliams
Hello and thank you for visiting my ArtPal space. My name is Ken Williams and I first started my art career as a young student in the Southwestern part of Colorado until 1988 when I became a full time student at the Art Institute of Colorado in Denver. I would earn my degree in Visual Communications there and then would apply my artistic skills as owner of 4U2C, a successful print and design company I owned and operated with great people from 1993 until I sold it to a national chain in 2009. In 2012, I decided to dedicate more time with my artwork. Although I sometimes use pen & ink, oil paint, and colored pencil, I mostly like using pastel as I’m able to get into the work and blend the medium around until it’s where I feel it needs to be.
In my getting back to producing artwork, I’ve used subject matter that I find inspiration in or find exciting to look at because of the colors that are involved and/or because I can embellish lighting & shading features to it. Recently I've evolved to include subject matter gathered from photographers where I purchase exclusive rights to use their work as reference, such as Norwegian photographer, Per Ole Hagen. In addition, I'm going to have work using my own photography as reference. My first big exposure was a exclusive showing of my art at the Hard Rock Cafe, March 2017. That was certainly exciting and inspirational. Currently, you can view some of my work in person at Grace Gallery located in the Sante Fe Art District near downtown Denver. A big thank you to all of my supporters, especially those who have purchased some of my work so early in this process. I will continue to improve as it is my hope to bring as much value to my art that you so graciously invest in.
