Kay Kollective is a multi-media art shop all created and run by one artist: Kay! I am a full-time art teacher, Doctoral student, and practicing artist. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember! For me, art is all about technique and the art making process. The art of creating in any means necessary is my goal as an artist. I use multiple mediums to create my art, as I have a habit of wanting ot be skilled in a variety of techniques. Drawing, painting, jewelry, tattoo designs, and resin art are just a few processes that I am currently practicing and creating. As an artist, it is so important to me to experience different mediums and test out techniques. Involving myself mentally, physically, and emotionally into an art process makes my finished creations come to life, and ultimately present themselves with purpose from within. I live by the words I remind my students daily, "Trust the Process".
