I am the daughter of master artist, Roger San Millan, who touched, shaped and colored my life as if it had been one of the many mediums he used to express his passion for deep reflection and beauty. These paintings I have created over a span of 50 years while living in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and the United States. I studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
My artwork is mostly figurative and I usually paint in acrylics. Additionally, I was trained utilizing classical realistic light and shadow in drawings and paintings. I also enjoy oils and watercolors. Lately, I have been exploring new textures with modeling paste, sand and glue on canvas and discovering revelations of my unconscious mind which brings me great joy, solace, and awe.
My hope is that you have enjoyed viewing my work, and wish to order some of my select “high resolution” reproductions on canvas at www.KatiaSanMillan.com
