Justine Arinda Johnson is a young artist currently in New York City.
She was born in Wisconsin, and has since lived and studied in Florence, Italy, where she learned marble sculpting, painting, and international art business.
A self-proclaimed imperfectionist, Justine's work draws on the beautiful flaws of life. She uses her past experiences and current situations to create highly detailed, yet organic compositions. Justine uses the people, animals, and emotions that she encounters in daily life as inspiration.
Justine's portraiture work and especially self-portraiture work strives to catch specific moods or thoughts of her subjects, she often uses objects or animals as symbolism for deeper emotion.
Justine's art is in private and public collections most notably in Italy, New York, and Minnesota.
She has completed public murals in Pepin, WI, Paterno, Sicilia, and Huguenot, NY.
This Summer Justine is one of the artists in Residence at ArtHub in Kingman, Arizona.
