www.ArtPal.com/jtennis1Joyce Tennis, Lake Tapps, Washington, has been painting for all my life, working with oils and acrylics. She studied art and graphic design She continued her study of art throughout her life and has taught art for many years. Her work has appeared in art shows and galleries across the country.
In 1994, Joyce was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The disease progressed leaving her in a wheelchair. It also affected her coordination and her muscles in her hands making it difficult to work in oils and acrylics. Despite her disability, she retrained herself in water colors and continues to paint. “I can barely write my name, but I can paint.” Art has been therapy for her and she continues to paint everyday.
