I have to see it first. When I discover the core, the heart of a subject that I've photographed, it's exciting. Being in nature or on a journey, when a place resonates, I may go back many times. I search for different qualities of light, composition, or whatever grabs my attention. Even so it may not be there. Sometimes it's luck, other times it's the intuitive decision that captures something unique, such as a "lucky rain" that creates atmospheric reflections. I search for the perfect shot. Working independently, on my own, I chase fleeting light or discover new subjects. Still, it gives me great satisfaction when my work provides a human connection, when people enjoy it.
