Joy Osborne grew up in Madeira, Ohio, a small community to the eastside of Cincinnati. Her father, a commercial and portrait artist, started teaching her about color and form at very early age. Expanding her horizons, she utilized the skills of framing, composition, light and, use of colors in television.
Coming back to her artistic roots and love of nature, she has embraced watercolors, a challenging medium with its unforgiving nature and unpredictability which requires patience and dedication. She creates calming renderings of landscapes and enjoys bringing local history to life through her works.
Joy is a member of the American Watercolor Society and the Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society.
