Jan Crabtree is a British artist working from a studio in London. She has travelled extensively and found her passion in the ancient world of Greek and Roman sculpture.
From a portfolio of photography and sketch book works Jan developes large figurative oil paintings through a process of pencil sketching and drawings in charcoal and wash.
Her abstract paintings have been inspired from travels through north Africa and the middle east. Colourful and vibrant experiences put onto canvas in bold acrylics.
Llanddwyn Island in Anglesey north Wales is the subject of many of Jan's seascapes. She feels a deep connection to the landscapes of Wales due to her ancestral roots.
Jan has two children and lives with her partner in south London.
