James is a self taught artist and is currently living and working on his paintings in Ireland.

James interests are in movement and emotion and energy which he expresses through abstract and equine works.
The paintings are an attempt to capture and express the essence of an individual emotional expression of movement or the suggestion no matter how subtle, he has gravitated towards equine works for there natural embodiment of these points and also because the Horse is just such a beautiful elegant powerful figure and is so wrapped up in the history of mankind while also showing an emotional aspect of such a beautiful entity.
