Description

I painted this while in the sunshine in Florida. How I was thinking of snow in the heat I am not sure. Probably needed to cool off. Painted on canvas using heavy based acrylic. I have an impressionist style and I paint only, rarely drawing. I like to layer the canvas with a base color and the gradually build up the image using strong strokes I use large brushes I like the sun peeping through the trees onto the snow I like the idea there is something more around the corner

I am a self taught artist who has been painting seriously for 12 years. I started while living in Florida, encouraged by the artist Ian lifestyle of the area. I joined a local art school Working with Pastel artist Brooke Alison. I learned a lot about colour and tone, and found my love of bright painting.
I am now based full time in Devon England enjoying the vibrate art culture. I am a very active member local art groups and societies. I exhibition regularly in various venues.

I sell only originals, but may venture into producing prints in the future.
I work in many mediums but my favourite at the moment is washable artisan oils, as they give me to freedom of oils without the fumes.
