Currently living and working in San Francisco, Rebecca is a NYC native and has her BFA from Parsons. A true city dweller, raised in an urban environment, as a member of the complex interplay of city dynamics and cultural richness.
Drawing from that experience, she chooses to create pieces that express on more than one level. Exploring how collage builds with the texture of a brush stroke; realizing the relationship between the lyrical and the chromatic, her work comes to life as tableaux, rich in meaning. Her style has been categorized by some as Neo Urban or Outsider Street art. More recently Rebecca has incorporated the form/silhouette of a bunny to express current human, cultural, personal, and political issues. Her work continues to be heavily influenced by de Chirico, Haring, and Braque.
