Isar Valdetaro was born in 1938, in Rio de Janeiro-Brazil. She started to study piano when she was 7 and had to stop at 14, due to a broken finger. She was back to music study at 17 when she started the Curso de Canto Universidade de Campinas. After this, she went to Conservatório Nacional de Canto Orfeônico (CNCO) where she was a student of Villa Lobos. A car crash interrupted her musician career. She wasn’t badly hurt, but her parents needed care for years.
She married very young at 19. Marriage and 3 kids kept her busy for years. After a divorce, she started Med School and graduated as a medical doctor in 1982
Many years ago, art called her again and she started painting in different materials, like wood, porcelain and ceramic.
Now it’s time to acquire another step: Digital art.
I am fascinated by the color, light patterns, and variety found in my country. Brazil has wonderfull beaches, mountains, a lot of colorfull flowers and animals. My work is inspired by my childhood, brazilian landscapes and nature. The sunlight bathes everything and my paintings reflect all of those colors.
