WENDY LOW, (b.1960, USA)
I am a self-taught mosaic artist with a degree in Graphic Design. I find inspiration from nature and from the love of vibrant colors to combine in a unique way to harmonize with the graceful flow of musical instruments. I use mostly the direct method, incorporating tesserae in the form of glass, tile, and random objects that I find, as well as recycled jewelry, shells, stone and stained glass--all with the intention of drawing the viewer in for a closer look. My studio is located in Archer, Florida. I do other items of mosaic such as mirrors, tables, wall art, clocks, and outdoor sculptures. Currently I am studying abstract properties with mosaic focusing on the interstice as they relate to the pieces themselves. My work is in The Starving Artist Gallery in St. Augustine. My website is www.instrumentalchanges.com I can also be found on Facebook under the same name.
