www.ArtPal.com/info188The Dutch painter, illustrator and author Wim Romijn enjoys international fame as a horse painter. He also paints farm animals and wildlife. His designs and illustrations were used to produce greeting cards, calendars, posters, embroidery kits, portfolios and giclées.
In the record books Het Werkpaard (1990), the bestseller Het Boerenpaard (1995), Paardenzot (1999), Van Ploegpaard tot Polopony (2003), the four-part series Landelijke idyll (2004) and Boerenlanders (2011), Wim paints and describes working with horses, the country life of yesteryear and the nature around the farm.
Interviews that have appeared in newspapers and magazines and for radio and television give a personal picture of the artist in which he talks about his work and his fascinations. He also published several publications and many columns in the magazines Heart for Animals and Country life . His oil colors, acrylic works, watercolors and gouaches were on display in nine museums.
