Wilda Fortune is a western Colorado native who has been painting for over 40 years. Her artwork graces many of the regional homes and businesses in the area and she continues to produce and show many pieces of fine art.
Her paintings have won awards in regional and national juried shows. She continues her education in art by taking classes and workshops with, among others, Tony Couch, Nita Engle, Stephen Doherty, Frank Webb, Judi Betts, Frank Francese, Gerald Fritzler, and Stephen Quiller.
Wilda divides her time between her home in Grand Junction and her mountain home on the Grand Mesa where she communes with nature and finds inspiration for new work. She loves to work in oils and watercolors and is a member of the Western Colorado Watercolor Society and Plein Air Artists CO.
