Helen's Art Studiowww.ArtPal.com/helen-gan
Born in China and currently lives on beautiful Vancouver Island, Helen Gan has photographed and painted for many years, both self-taught. She used to be an editor in chief in a travel book publisher (Sino-Germany adventure), and painted part-timely with watercolor. After she moved to the beautiful west coast of Canada she started to paint in Acrylic. Two of her acrylic paintings were showed in an exhibition held in Toronto, which is also expected to be held in New York later this year. What she's trying to do is to combine Oriental culture and art and western ones. Her fusion sometimes presents amazing charms, and liked by lots of audience across different cultures. She’s teaching teenager students as well, and is loved by them.
As a humanist, Helen's paintings focus mainly on nature, living lives and environment, to convey the beauty of nature and her concern about it. Traditional Asian painting techniques such as detailed brush paintings shed quite some influence on her arts.
