Heidi Bedwani showed an interest for drawing from a very young age. She used to draw cartoonish characters in every day life. For example, in vacations, she used to interpret what she saw with pen and ink directly without having the need to rub off mistakes with an eraser.
As she grew older, she was inclined to start drawing from the Bargue plates and developped an interest for the classical realist tradition.
However hard it seemed to learn autodidactically, she still continues her vocation to reach mastery in the depiction of forms and figures.
