Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
HadyaMaria, at a young age showed interest and talent drawing. Her Uncle, Tio Gaspar enrole her in an art summer camp for kids, she started exploring with charcoal, and acrylic. Through her young years she kept learning with interruptions and different teachers. Another Aunt, Titi Eva enrole her in El Trapito an art studio to learn about clay and porcelain. she ended up winning a second place price for an engraved clay vase.
Many years later culinary arts school were her passion, but because earning money turned out as a priority she accepted an opportunity for a job that opened working as a cook for the Governor's and First Family at the Executive Mansion in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Moving on then she started a Catering service at her home. HadyaMaria, is the mother of four and grand mother of three, this is why throughout her complicated life couldn't find inspiration or time to develop her creativity, until now. She moved from PR to USA and is in Key West, FL when she started again to paint with the guidance of a talented local artist Jim Salem. At her late 40's it is when this woman has found the opportunity thanks to her husband that believed in her and encourage her to let her creativity free.
Influenced and inspired by her homeland memories and her life that is far from boring.
Acrylic and watercolors are her preferred mediums so far.
