Giselle Sellier-Jones was born in 1967 in the Canadian Red Cross Hospital in Taplow. Her early life was peripatetic, living in Berkshire, the Bahamas, Haiti, London and Bahrain all before the age of six.
After studying English at UCL, she worked in London where some of her occupations included working for Franco Maria Ricci, the Italian art publisher, waitressing and temping. Her final role was as a PA to the managing director of a top City organisation. This was curtailed by meeting the love of her life, moving to France, having two sons and becoming the owner of Eros, a bonkers but very lovable rescue hound.
She has painted consistently all her life and, since living in Saint-Omer, has produced children’s books, posters and greetings cards.
Favourite subjects include animals, flowers and landscapes. She has a unique style that combines humour, whimsy and heart. Available for commissions at very reasonable rates, her handmade cards have been sold in London, Eastbourne and Saint-Omer.
