I am a self-taught watercolor artist who transitioned from working with clay to enjoying the expressive world of paint and paper. In my watercolor paintings, I try to capture the unique qualities of a medium that can be both unpredictable and controlled. The interactions of emotion, color, form, energy, spontaneity, and whimsy that watercolor offers me, gives me a perfect artistic outlet for self-expression. I am an avid admirer of 20th Century abstract expressionist artists and draw much inspiration from their unique vision and creativity. I live in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania suburbs and enjoy my summers in the gorgeous New Jersey town of Cape May. The color palette of the beach continues to inspire me and I love the blues and neutral shades of nature. I am continually growing as an artist and aspire to be a lifelong student of watercolor.
