Miriam Sologashvili was born on February 14, 1961, in Tbilisi, Georgia. She received her technical education in Georgia as well as graduated from Tbilisi State University's Art faculty as a colorist. For different reasons or life circumstances neither in Georgia nor in Israel where Miriam is residing now from 1998, she was not able to fulfill her passion as an artist until just three years ago when she started again from scratch is becoming a painter, and when the destiny challenged her to go underground of hell to sky heaven but put her on mother earth in search of her life's quest.
Miriam Sologashvili started her new life as an artist in 21 the century, when the fourth era of the technical revolution made it affordable globally to exchange information through messages, via emails or social networks. In an era when everyone was able to become a photographer, an editor, a journalist, or a creator of anything they would achieve professionally. In an era where the aesthetic properties of art became a product of universal use. When human gigantic creative energy was sat free from time and space and conquered the world. Where human life itself has unique value and when everyone can share to the whole world these values and receive them back at the global level
Apparently, it is a paradox but Social Media and networking were not able to solve society's problem in one's struggles of solitude in human history even though they made so many things easier and flexible. Unfortunately, it's still an illusion of the real world. Virtual World is not as equally beneficial as physical and spiritual ones. It created even a problem how one can define a real essence of the soul and its genuine nature, are there real states of minds and hearts of the people or just another fake, noisy Facebook storyteller raising a" toast.'
Miriam Sologashvili made her first footsteps in the world of art in the multi revolutionary 20th century, that's why she knows quite well in the era of colors, variety of new techniques and so much "isms", the colorist needs to have a special state of mind besides an eye and mastery. Most of all she values the impotence of time in today's society which is a huge deficit. Miriam is not trying to become any kind of a celebrity or trend when painters in every country are trying to make new impressions on their personal or group exhibitions at every biennial or triennial, where projects and goals of the art community are unvaried.
Precisely, from this point of view, Miriam's art slips out from the context of modern art. Her specific style, unique techniques, and brush strokes are well-known impressionistic, but this is the only aspect of similarity with the classical traditional modern movement regarding her art. Miriam not only captures the momentary and transient effects of the subject in her drawings, but she also shows her independent spirit, her ideas, her personal feelings and emotions there. In other words, in her paintings, she endeavors her timeless, eternal questions: "Who am I, who surrounds me and what is the meaning of my life.' Her approach with people in a dialogue regime daily basis is her chosen method where she is fashioning the purpose of the present and has a vision for the future. She is not waiting for the sacrality of the exhibition and instantly aims to display her pictures on Facebook with her virtual friends. She invites them to join her and explore life"s journey together, receives all the positive impulses that give her life energy, and profoundly gives them right the way expressively from her heart.
