Description

Grapes of wrath. During the Great Depression, Rose cannot make it anymore. Her anger can be seen on her face. To some extent, there is some resonance with the troubled times we live in where many things we used to take for granted are not any more guaranteed.

Violent contrasts of dark green and ocre render the crude light of an American summer.

I traveled a lot and I have been living in countries with very different cultures. My main sources of inspiration are impressionism, pop art, street art and primitive arts.

Years of live model sketching in Paris gave me the passion to render human's poses dynamism and strength.

My stay in India gave me the taste for strong contrasts and bright colors.My style initially figurative is moving to a more abstract from to seize what is essential.

I feel somehow disconnected from our world that I find both violent and absurd. I paint my view of the world either with humor to depict our addiction to smart phones or with candidness when describing the huge impacts of climate change on our lives.
