Frieda W. Zolan, artist, educator, parent and grandparent, studies with Carol DuChamp (parisienne born descendant from a famous Impressionist) and former teacher watercolorist/jazz singer Julie Cohn who was educated at her student's Alma Mater. Both artists have had extensive showings in museums and galleries. Victor Martinez, famous Latin American Artist, commended her card design when his daughter received a painting of Dumbo. Frieda was born in 1948 in St. Paul, Minnesota (land of 10,000 lakes). She is the daughter of sculptor and oil artist Annetta Diamond Winnick (OBM) and Softball Hall of Famer Klink Winnick (OBM). Her maternal grandfather was asked to be Governor of the State of MN by northerners in the state. She is an honorary member of the Lakota Sioux Tribe. Frieda attended UC Berkeley and has a Graduate Degree in Education and the Yang Style of Tai Chi Chuan.
