CLINE GALLERY
www.ArtPal.com/fmuni18Dina Cline is an established contemporary visual artist, known for her strong use of color and abstract form. Originally from San Diego, CA, Dina earned her B.A. at Boise State University where she completed studies in studio art and philosophy. Her large-scale paintings are critically engaged with philosophical principles of aesthetics and questions of existentialism, prompting Dina to constantly evolve her subject matter and artistic interpretation.
Dina takes considerable inspiration from place and culture, having spent several years traveling and volunteering in locales such as Myanmar, Indonesia, Micronesia, Kenya, and Tanzania. In her early twenties she founded a charitable initiative, the Inclined Arts Project, which raised funds to bring fine-art supplies and education to orphanages in third world countries.
Currently, Dina lives and works in the heart of Paia, HI, residing in a green plantation house. She is a devoted diver, and frequently incorporates the hues and textures of the ocean into her work. As an engaged member of the Lahaina Arts Society & Lahaina Arts Guild, Dina shows her work at venues around the island of Maui. Internationally, her work is held in private collections based in Brooklyn, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Seattle, and Chicago.
