FantaSea Creationz - Treasures of the Sea Re-created by Mike, Dee, and their best friend K.J. (lab/shepard mix).
While managing a motel on the Oregon Coast for 4 years with no relief or a day off, I worked the day shift and Mike worked the night shift, during the day, Mike would take K.J. for walks on the beach bringing home with him his backpack full of shells, rocks and other treasures he would find, doing this everyday for 4 years rain or shine he accumulated literally tons of treasures. One day I asked him what he was going to do with all of it... And that's when it all began, the following morning, I woke up to find the most adorable little creature on my desk that he had made the night before. Every day after that I would wake up to find another new creation, it was just magical. It didn't take long before I started running out of room on my desk and anywhere else there was a flat surface, eventually we started displaying alot of his works in the office, people just loved it, even if they didn't rent a room for the night they would enjoy looking & sometimes purchasing a piece to take home with them.
After 4 yrs. we re-located to Vancouver, WA., that was a trip I'll never forget, pulling a cargo trailer behind our motorhome with all of our belongings, not to mention all of the 5 gal. buckets of shells and rocks, we had 2 tires blow out on the cargo trailer and one tire blow out on the motorhome from all of the weight.
Now almost 1 yr. later Mike is still creating amazing works of art from his rock and shell collections, I am hoping that he will run out of shells soon so we have an excuse to go back to the coast.
We currently manage two apartment complexes here in Vancouver, and not one day goes by that we don't wish we were still at the coast.
Our dream is to someday have a gift shop anywhere on the coast where we can live and continue re-creating the beauty of nature for others to enjoy.
We hope you will enjoy viewing our many collections, from Bird Houses, Seaflowers, Sea Turtles, Sand Snakes, Sea Shore Birds, Beach Dogs, Shrunken Heads, Wood Carvings, Hand Carved Bench's, and so much more.
