Ezra Bejar Art Studiowww.ArtPal.com/ezrabejar
Professional artist from Mexico based in San Diego, CA. Bejar was educated in both the arts and the sciences. His art narrative has been guided by his own transformation after a temporary loss of vision and 30 years of experience in scientific research. Ezra paints an alternative reality distilling color and shapes with traditional and modern (digital) methods.
His paintings are provocative, energetic and innovative. They are rich in color, geometries, textures and esthetics. Ezra’s art has reached global audiences, with his paintings being exhibited and collected in the US, Europe, Asia and Mexico.
Ezra was recognized as a binational artist by the Mexican Government Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IME), and has been elected as a board member of the International Association of Art USA. Since 2010, he has participated in over thirty solo and collective exhibitions in the US and internationally.
Paintings Avail at:
Alessandro Berni Gallery, Gloria Delson Contemporary Arts (GDCA), Artsy, Singulart, Saatchi and Artfinder. Prints at: ArtPal
Ezra received training and education as an artist and as a scientist. He conducted advanced painting and multimedia studies at San Diego State University, School of Art and Design. He received a Ph.D. in pharmacology (Medicinal Chemistry) from University of the Pacific in Stockton. Ezra holds a BS and MS in Experimental Biology from UAM in Mexico City. At a young age, Ezra was exposed to impressionism and contemporary art by his father at the Kunstkreis gallery in Mexico City.
My artwork evolved from a purely physical form of painting, to working with digital art, animation, and now post-digital painting. This is an art form conceptually shaped by the internet and digital processes, but insisting on bringing materiality to it. Thoughts and ideas flow from a time scale that includes my ancestors, current events, ideas found in nature, historical documents, world travel and scientific publications.
The Alternative Reality Series (Bright & Dark)
Depict a complex and changing reality intersected by art, science, and humanity. The themes include migration, as well as the ecological and social changes in our planet’s natural environment. The images display layers of harmonious colors, light and shadows but include some dissonant elements peeking audience interest to explore more.
