Emma Childs Artwww.ArtPal.com/emmachildsart
My name is Emma Childs and I am a professional artist based in Devon in the UK.
I have been painting for many years exhibiting my work Nationally and Internationally..
I attended Art school obtaining my Foundation Art, got accepted into Byam Shaw school of Art & Design in London despite not attending the course this never hampered my ability to grow as an Artist. I am mainly self taught. It was in me from a young child having the ability to draw and know what colours were successful with others. My father went to Camberwell Art School and his father was an exceptionally gifted Artist. I believe much of my ability is inherent.
I won the Hilda carter award for my Poppy Wood painting, and have various selections of my work in galleries in the South west and Hotels.
My commercial work is specialised hand painted Art Deco inspired commissions and Originals which have been collected worldwide. I am commissioned on a regular basis to paint customers houses or favourite places in an Art Deco nostalgic style.
There are many examples of this on my website.
I also enjoy painting and exhibiting haunting fairytale like woodland scenes and landscapes using Acrylic, which have proved very popular over the years.
My work is split into 3 main groups/styles.
