Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and raised in Minneapolis and Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Elysia Larson creates artwork that reflects the beauty in the people and places she has been privileged to encounter.
Elysia graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN with honors Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Music Education, minoring in Studio Art. She is a soprano singer and piano/guitar leader.
Elysia has lived and taught in three countries. She taught in Bangkok, Thailand K-12 art classes at International Community School. Later she lived in Ukraine and Hungary for four years with her family. She currently resides in Zimmerman, Minnesota, with her husband and four children. Elysia works as an elementary school teacher at a local Christian school. Elysia's artwork includes watercolor, oil, pen and ink, pencil, and calligraphy. She enjoys creating portraits, countryside landscapes, and symbolic images.
