I've been making art ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon. Primarily self taught, I work in an illustrative, realistic style and horses have always been a favourite subject of mine. Indeed, for many years I was a professional horse trainer working in the United Kingdom. I now live in the green mountains of Vermont with my two European Burmese cats.
My original art has sold in the United Kingdom, The Republic of Ireland, Germany, Canada, the United States and Australia. I mostly work in the mediums of graphite, charcoal, colored pencil and pen and ink. Horses are still favourite subjects but I also enjoy doing other animals and landscapes. I also teach drawing and coloured pencil classes locally to adults.
I constantly strive to improve upon my skills as an artist. Each piece is a learning experience and I always enjoy the journey. While I find art to be deeply relaxing and therapeutic, marketing myself and my art is a struggle. Like many artists I am a private soul who would prefer to be in my studio making art. I really have to force myself out of my comfort zone to market my art. I hope you enjoy seeing my work as much as I enjoy making it.
