“The creative Adult is the child who survived”.
Following my dreams of becoming an artist was not my first choice. It was not even my second or third but life has a way of surprising you.
I got to live in Cape Town where I realised that creative people are everywhere. I got to meet amazing people and learn from them. It was here where I got to embrace my individuality and experience the beauty this country has to offer.
It was in Cape Town where I got to apply paint to a canvas for the first time. An amazing artist and a dear friend of mine allowed me to experience the wonders of art. An obsession to express myself in a creative way was born.
It took me a few years to find my style as well as the courage to share my style with the rest of the world. My love for the facial expressions and rich skin colours narrowed it down to a style I like to call “Afri – PopArt”.
Afri-PopArt was born in my studio in Pretoria when I merged my passion for the “Rich skin” and my amusement for the once famous but forgotten Pop Art style.
Hope you enjoy my work as much as I do…
