Jade Tran fell in love with drawing and painting when she was still a little school girl. She literally did it everywhere she could - in her school notebooks, on a pavement, on a wall -- always with passion and full of fairy dreams of a small girl. The passion somehow faded, then came back stronger when she was in her twenties -- this time, she was serious about the art.
Jade loves using strong colors of oil and gouache to convey her feelings and emotions. Her best achievements were to have one of her paintings selected for display at the National Fine Arts Exhibition of Vietnam in 1995 and an Honorable Mention at the Fine Arts Exhibition of Hanoi in 1999. She now lives and works in Washington, D.C., USA.
