I have been creating art all my life. I grew up in New York City. My grand mother Pauline gave me my first set of oil paints. I began to teach myself how to paint from books. I was 12 years old. I taught myself how to mix some colors to make new ones. I was excited. Teachers in elementary school all the way to high school teachers always encouraged me. When I entered college, which was a design school, my work became more dream like and commercial. High school is where I learned to use acrylics. 10 years in advertising and I owned my own graphic design company for four years.
I then became a high school art teacher where I taught my kids easy ways to create art. I taught them about color, art history, easy ways to learn drawing. One day a collegue and I teamed up to teach self portraits. The finished products were astounding. I was so happy to see their reactions as well. I love painting and I have so much fun doing it.
