After I retired I had more time to devote to my painting. I had taken classes in oil painting and drawing at the Santa Rosa California Junior College, and numerous workshops in pastel with Albert Handel, Richard McDaniel, Craig Mitchell and others. I have taken some watercolor workshops, with Christopher Schinke and Dale Leitinen.

My favorite media are oils and pastel. My style is impressionistic, usually solidly based in recognizeable reality, but usually semi abstracted and stylized to emphasize the center of interest.

My favorite subjects include the play of light and shade and color across a landscape, old huts, flowers, old bits of machinery, old buildings.. The list goes on...
