I am a South African Artist and was born in 1974 in Johannesburg, Gauteng who currently lives in beautiful Somerset West in the Western Cape.
I have always had a keen interest in art and started drawing from the tender age of 6. Throughout school, my sketching talent was honed and grew. After school I went to Art College where my love and knowledge of art expanded. This is where I was introduced to working with color, ceramics, inks and studied History of Art.
I started working and pushed my art to the side to live life, only sketching on the odd occasion. In 2004 I joined a Oil Painting weekly workshop where I was introduced to Oil and stretched canvas. I absolutely loved the medium and I was further able to expand my versatility as an artist.
In 2016 I was introduced to the very complex medium, water color. It was intimidating at the start (as with water color a mistake is not as easily correctable as with oils), but I have grown in leaps and bounds and am finally at a point in my art career where I wish to sell my paintings.
I have finally found a medium that challenges me and keeps me interested. I grow as an artist every time I pick up a brush to paint. This is a never ending journey of learning and growth and I am proud of the natural talent I was given and I am pleased to now share it with the world.
