Whimsical Watercolor Paintings

Whimsical Watercolor Paintings

Playfully quaint Artist, Dee Ross, a lady of a certain age, has a certain fanciful, appealing approach to watercolor, certainly in an amusing, unusual and unpredictable way. With a capricious wash here, a carefree line there, Dee makes her Whimsical Watercolor grin with glee.

My watercolor style is most often referred to as "Line and Wash". The paintings are awash with watercolor and objects, etc. are usually lined with black, sometimes white or colored pigment, lightfast pens and/or ink.

Prior to watercolor, I was a professional photographer and stock photographer for close to 20 years. I also taught the art of hand painting black and white photographs using oils. I belonged to the Tennessee Art League for a number of years where my photograph titled "Homemade Soup" was the blue ribbon winner at the juried art show in Nashville, Tennessee. I have had my work published in many publications and my creative photography and hand painted photographs were featured in a gallery in Taos, New Mexico.

I've relocated to Bradenton, Florida and am retired but never lost my urge to create. Watercolor painting is now my chosen medium after hanging up my camera.

Enjoy my artwork and thanks for looking.
