David Monte Cristo is an abstract artist and musician (vocalist, pianist) born in Tbilisi, Georgia on February 17, 1957. He came to the United States in 1975 after 2 years in Israel and Italy. His father Mordechai Janashvili (1929 - 1989) is a well-known painter in the FSU and in Israel. David was a musical child prodigy and sang pop/rock songs by Tom Jones, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, and others..

In music he is creating/recording new sounds and songs, learning new covers, and performing. His repertoire includes originals, rock/pop hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, new wave, synthpop, new age, classical, and international (Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Georgian, Israeli). Together with James Michaels, he formed Monte Cristo Records and Publishing (BMI) in 2009.
