I'm David, a freelance illustrator who mainly creates illustrations for children's books and fantasy based themes. I have worked and studied in the field of illustration for many years, working with companies and clients along the way.
I was trained in the traditional ways, life drawing, pencils, paints, acrylic I think is my favorite medium as it is quite versatile. After engaging myself in mixed media, exploration through the realms of art opened up considerably. I continue to explore using acrylic, sometimes watercolour mixed with applications such as Photoshop as there are so many possibilities. Switching between children's book illustration and fantasy based work inspired mainly by the RPG/D&D genre, has been inspirational and has had a big impact on the development of my illustration work in general.
