Darrel Nonato or "Dar" as his friends and colleagues call him is from Pasay City, Philippines. He finished a degree in Fine Arts major in Advertising Arts in University of Santo Tomas (UST) in 2002. A full-time Graphic Designer working for various advertising agencies and multi-national corporations spanning 17 years. He's also a Musician, being active before in the local indie rock & roll community playing with few bands as a Bass Guitarist, but he's been in a hiatus in the music scene and since 2016, he's been more active in painting again, currently producing more creative and colorful artworks.
Dar has always been a fan of the Expressionism genre in art, at one time experimented in the Fauvism Style of the said genre. His influences includes Andre Derain, Henri Matisse, Frida Kahlo and Filipino modern artist such as Victorio Edades, Onib Olmedo, Jojo Legaspi and Alfredo Esquillo.
Dar's works has been recently put on an exhibit, his First formal exhibit together with other talented artists in THE ELYSIAN ART SHOW held last November 26th 2019, in MGallery, Manila, Philippines.
