Daniel Ravel began his love affair with photography in 1979 in Chicago. Back then he enjoyed shooting with his Nikon FM and F3 cameras. He has been an avid photographer ever since, focusing now on fine art photography. Ravel's images emphasize shape, texture, contrast, light and shadow - leaning toward the abstract. His artistic style has been strongly influenced by Edward Weston, Paul Strand, Bill Brandt, and Imogen Cunningham.
