A self taught artist whose work evolved from being heavily influenced by pop culture and urban life while living in Chicago to a lighter, brighter, organic color palette after moving to the sunny, laid back Florida Keys.
The Key West works have the fluidity of a Thomas Hart Benton work but the themes are influenced by nature and in particular the ocean environment.
The move to Key West was bittersweet once Hurricane Irma struck in 2017. Luckily my home suffered minor damage but the roof was blown off the storage facility where my artwork was located. The water came pouring in and I lost over 50 paintings, countless drawings and sketchbooks. Everything was a pile of wet canvas and pulp. I didn’t pick up a paint brush again until 2019 and now I am on a tear to work as much as possible. Hope you love at my work as much as I love producing it.
